CLARE GILLIES

Clare has a degree and two masters qualifications. She taught geography for over twenty years and was a director of studies and deputy headteacher.

She is an experienced lead inspector and consultant, working mainly in maintained secondary schools.

Clare is a very experienced and effective trainer of teachers and inspectors. Her training has been described as "inspirational and informative".

Recently Teachers' TV filmed her observing lessons and giving feedback. She has starred in a number of episodes of Teachers' TV's From Good to Outstanding series. See www.teachersmedia.co.uk

Clare has been an external adviser for performance management and an Advanced Skills teacher assessor. She is currently a School Improvement Partner.

Clare's particular areas of expertise are in leadership and management, teaching and learning, citizenship, education for sustainable development, inclusion, gifted and talented provision and the Every Child Matters agenda.
